Situation: New construction in the parking-lot of the existing Pekin Mall. Approximately 42 truck loads of used excess asphalt and gravel spoils were stockpiled
Question: Haul off asphalt at $62 per hour AND purchase import CA-6 gravel at $6.75 per ton plus trucking OR recycle the existing rubble on-site?
Solution: Recycle on-site in one day! With one Rubble Master® RM80 unit, Ironhustler Excavating recycled approximately 924 tons of asphalt to a 1 ½ minus CA-6 grade material — all of which was used in the new construction.
Advantage: No trucking off-site, no trucking to-site — plus recycled for less that the cost of equal import materials … “on-site.”
